Research project developed in the master’s degree in Digital Arts of the ITM which has as its object of study the remix, its associated culture and its techniques in the field of music production. Under the lens of this object of study, the first ten volumes of the album “Los 14 Cañonazos bailables” of the DISCOS FUENTES label produced between 1961 and 1970 have been reviewed.

This research has allowed the development and shaping of a musical performance and a record album created through arrangements generated by manipulating a selection of Colombian tropical music records.

In this project, remix techniques have been used such as: sampling, dubmixing, mashup, artificial separation of stems, and remastering, which have allowed remixes that make up this creative result, which offers a new and current rereading of Colombian tropical music..
